Garu attack: Dissection report shows perished experienced broken skull and ribs - MP

The Individual from Parliament (MP) for Garu, Albert Alalzuuga, has guaranteed that the post-mortem examination report of one of the people who kicked the bucket because of military brutalities shows that the departed experienced a skull crack and broken ribs.


North of 50 individuals were hospitalized, with one casualty, after the military went after Garu and Tempane occupants in the Upper East District in reprisal for their supposed attacks on Public safety Agents.


The MP for Garu made this disclosure after a preparation on the issue by the Public safety Priest in Accra on Monday.


"We are exceptionally despondent and extremely baffled with the manner in which they acted in Garu. A few group have broken arms and broken legs. The person who kicked the bucket as per the dissection report had a messed up skull and two broken ribs. Respectable Clergyman, assuming this is the manner by which the military recovers arms, we would need to know the number of arms that were recovered from Garu."



"… To say this is the tactical's way of recovering arms which we saw in Garu is generally lamentable. That, in recovering arms, you beat and kill, disfigure individuals… Assuming you are recovering arms, you really want data," Mr Alalzuuga expressed.


The MP for Tempane, Lydia Akanvariba, as far as it matters for her, likewise expressed that the public authority ought to consider covering the clinical costs of casualties who were hospitalized because of the episode.
