After holding successful parliamentary primaries for those constituencies, the New Patriotic Party (NPP)'s presidential candidate, Mahamudu Bawumia, is optimistic that the party will recapture the majority of the orphan seats.
On Saturday, the party held a peaceful election to select parliamentary candidates for 111 orphan constituencies across Ghana.
After the inside challenge, Bawumia composed on Facebook that "I am extremely dazzled by the nature of competitors decided to address our party in these supporters… I'm certain that we will prevail with regards to getting these seats through our supported solidarity and aggregate endeavors."
In the run-up to the elections in 2024, he urged the party to maintain its unity and determination.
"With extraordinary assurance and aggregate working soul, we will win a larger part of these vagrant seats during the 2024 general political decision. To keep our force and to achieve triumph, we really want to remain joined starting from the grassroots to the most elevated levels of administration," Bawumia said.
